Premier to Meet with Investors in Denmark
CANADA, October 16 - Premier Tim Houston will meet with investors in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Sunday, October 18, following up the Province’s participation in the Canada Investment Summit last month.
The Premier is meeting with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, a global investment leader in large, complex projects that shape the future of energy.
Nova Scotia showcased 20 investment-ready energy, mining and infrastructure projects at the summit, and Premier Houston hosted a reception with interested investors. The meetings in Denmark are a result of those discussions.
“There are a lot of leads that we need to follow up on as a result of the Canada Investment Summit, and I won’t stop working until all of those leads are pursued,” said Premier Houston, who is also the Minister of Energy. “One thing we continue to hear is that the world wants what Nova Scotia has to offer, and I’m committed to attracting investments that can help us develop our resources safely and responsibly, so we can create better-paying, long-term jobs for hardworking Nova Scotians.”
The investment summit, which took place September 14 and 15 in Toronto, presented opportunities for economic growth and resilience nationwide. It was a first-of-its-kind event hosted by Prime Minister Mark Carney in partnership with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Public Sector Pension Investment Board – two of Canada’s largest institutional investors.
